What is this site?
Picture Yourself was created to collect photos of people taken by themselves. Pictures taken with an arm outstretched, pictures taken with friends, pictures taken alone, pictures of people. Basically, you are a subject in the photo and you are the photographer too.Why did you start this site?
It all started when Christine realized during a visit to Boston that she wanted to take photos of herself with the friends she was meeting up with on the trip. From there she discovered that they often did the same thing - and, inspired by the Mirror Project, she wanted to gather them up to share them with others.Who inspired you?
Heather Champ, creator of the Mirror Project inspired us. If you have taken photos of yourself in a reflective surface of any sort, we encourage you to not only submit them here, but submit them there too.How can I take photos of myself?

Who designed this site?
Christine created the original layout for the site and Kristine did her magic and made it work in HTML and CSS. Kristine's husband, Eric, developed the submit form that ties in to MovableType. Jennifer has done development for future expansion of the site. MovableType powers the site on the back end.Have you been featured in the press?
